Solana Romania celebrates its 10th anniversary

In July 2014 Solana Romania celebrates its 10th anniversary. The subsidiary of Solana was founded in 2004 under the name ‘Solana Agricultural SRL’ in Bucharest to establish another distribution site. With success — the company has developed positively in the past year and was able to increase its sales quantities.

100 guests celebrate the anniversary in Romania

On July 11th the anniversary celebration took place in Brasov, Romania, with around 100 guests. During the visit of the trial field in the afternoon the guests could learn about the varieties of Solana. Of particular interest were the varieties Figaro and Endeavour, which are promising varieties for the local chip industry in Romania. For the ware potatoes Laperla and Ultra as well as the red-skinned varieties Red Lady and Labella play an important role for the Romanian market.

The team of Solana Romania aims to develop the company further. Especially the good relationship with the seed growers will be further developed in order to expand the supply of locally produced, certified seed potatoes.
