The Solana Group forms the divisions in research, variety breeding and product management. From 1 January 2019, Jacob Eising will take over the newly created position of Variety Development Manager. In this key role, Mr. Eising will coordinate all activities of the Solana Group in the areas of research, pre-breeding, variety breeding and product management. These intense coordination activities will enable the Solana-Group to offer more targeted potato varieties to customers as well as to the markets.

In his new role, Jacob Eising will directly report to Torsten Spill, Solana's General Manager for variety development and potato seed production. In addition to his role as Variety Development Manager, Mr. Eising continues to coordinate the international product management among others also the varieties for Den Hartigh.

Andreas Tetzel has been announced as the new managing director of OOO Solana RUS with effect from 1st November 2018.

He succeeds Burkhard Flüß, who has led the company through a five-year transitional period. Mr. Flüß leaves the Solana Group and we wish him all the best for his professional future.

Andreas Tetzel reports to Torsten Spill who is the managing director of SAKA Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH. We are looking forward to the successful cooperation with Andreas Tetzel, who together with his team will promote the further expansion of the distribution of high-quality seed potatoes in the Russian Federation.

Solana Group has strengthened its management team with a head of sales. As of 15^th of February 2018 Tobias Mette is responsible for the national and international sales activities of Solana.
